Impact of AI on Freelancers, Especially SEO Professionals

AI Impact on Freelancers and SEO

AI is getting more advanced, and I get questions on how we face that more often, which is why I want to share my thoughts on that.

AI technology continues to evolve, and it’s changing the way we approach SEO. For SEO professionals, that is both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it can automate certain tasks and provide valuable insights that can improve SEO strategies. On the other hand, there is the concern that AI will replace SEO professionals and jobs.

By automating some SEO tasks, AI could indeed reduce the number of SEO jobs, just as in almost every other field that is connected to the internet and digital work. However, it will never replace SEO professionals entirely!

While AI tools can automate certain aspects of SEO, they will always require SEO professionals to manage them and do the strategic thinking behind, which is why there will always be a need for SEO professionals.

AI is not replacing humans, it’s there to assist them in doing their job better and more efficient.

What We Do As a Freelancer Marketplace

It’s hard to say how AI will impact our market. With AI, many tasks can be automized, which is why AI tools will be implemented more into the workflows of SEO professionals. This could result in lower prices for SEO projects, which could lead to a lower customer spent.

However, customers might also keep their monthly budget at the same level, just the output that they will get from that budget will increase. In that case, it won’t impact us.

So, while our SEO service marketplace will always be needed by companies, there is indeed a chance that customer spend, and therefore also our growth might be limited. Instead of hoping that the second option will become reality, we can, and will, take action.

To outbalance this, we will launch additional products soon. This also includes AI software that supports professionals to do their services easier and with higher quality. I already shared about the new Blogtec products in my last quarterly update. Check it out if you’re curious!
